The Vertical Facilitator Start-up
Introduction to the basics necessary to deliberately foster transformative learning environments
Vertical Facilitation is a manner of leaderfully interacting with others in ways that deliberately catalyze transformative—or what we call ‘vertical’--learning.
Drawing from fields of research and practice such as adult development, transformative learning, relationship systems coaching, and inspired by a wealth of inner development paradigms and disciplines, The Vertical Facilitator curriculum provides rich and deeply transformative learning and development environments.
Our Introduction course offers a thorough introduction to the philosophy, ideas and leadership stance called for in the practice of vertical facilitation.
Here’s the layout of the 4 weeks:
This a 4-week ‘drip learning’ vehicle, with each week featuring a key learning artifact in the form of a video or text, each focusing on a particular topic. Soon after you sign-up, you will receive access to the course, hosted on Mighty Networks. There you will find the pre-course reading, intended to be completed before week #1.
Week 1: Introduction to Vertical Facilitation: vertical learning; the ‘activity’ of vertical facilitation; design elements of vertical facilitation.
Week 2: The personal leadership context of the vertical facilitator: The Vertical Facilitation ‘Stand’
Week 3: The experience of vertical learning: What is really happening when vertical learning is taking place
Week 4: Some final thoughts.
The Introduction takes place over Mighty Networks, which, in addition to releasing each week’s materials, provides an online discussion forum where you can post observations, and get your questions answered.
The Introduction is a fully self-contained program that is offered free of charge for a limited time.
Each Monday, the materials for the week will become visible on Mighty Networks. You will receive a reminder email from Mighty Networks when the new content is available.
